Newly completed in February of 2002, Ocean Palms is situated in the Turtle Tail area of Provo on the south side of the island. With over 160' of shoreline the Atlantic Ocean is your backyard. The waters that surround the Turks and Caicos are some of the most beautiful in the world and Oceans Palms was designed and constructed to take full advantage of the setting and views.
ecial consideration was given to the outside living areas of the villa as this is where most people end up spending much of their time. Nestled between two large sun decks, the large freshwater infinity edge swimming pool is the perfect way to cool off after lying in the Caribbean sun. A shallow area of the pool extends in beneath the covered patio and provides a perfect splash pool area for small children or just sitting waist deep in the cooling water. A large covered patio area, accessed directly from the living room, master bedroom and kitchen offers the perfect place for outside dining or relaxing in the shade. Most days the trade winds provide a constant cooling breeze to the patio area, but for those few days when the wind is taking a break, ceiling fans will help to keep you cool. Poolside lounge chairs and a gas barbecue with utensils are provided for your use and enjoyment. A small path leads from the sundecks down to the ocean access directly on the property. A small, but beautiful sandy beach is located within a 5 minute walk.
A large covered walkaround deck completely surrounds the villa. Just across the road from the front of the property is Flamingo Lake where you can often see flamingos looking for their dinner. You'll find a wonderful mix of tropical plants throughout the property. Bougenvillea, Birds of Paradise, Sea Grape, Morning Glory, Traveller's Palm, Royal Palm, Chinese Fan Palms, Christmas Palms and Pygmy Date Palms can all be found. Not only does the plantlife help to provide a lush atmosphere, but it provides important habitat for the island's bird population as well.
You'll end up spending much of your time outdoors, but that doesn't mean you'll find the interior of the villa lacking anything in the comfort or convenience departments. Inside you'll find a wonderful mix of natural finishes which provide a relaxing ambiance. Brazilian slate, limestone, and hardwood flooring add warmth and texture while the vaulted wood ceilings throughout the villa provide an open and airy feel. Beautiful french and louvered wood doors are used throughout the interior. The furnishings are a tasteful mix of wicker, mosaics, and solid teaks and mahogony. There are three bedrooms, each one with it's own ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom has a king size bed while the remaining bedrooms have a queen and two twin beds respectively. Each bedroom is separately air conditioned.
The central, sunken living room area provides the ideal place to kick back and enjoy yourself in the evenings. Just because Ocean Palms is located on a Caribbean island doesn't mean your out of touch with the outside world, unless of course, you choose to be. A state of the art audio/video system is provided for your use including a 55" big screen TV serviced by a satellite system, providing hundreds of channels of selections. A DVD player and a selection of DVD's are also included and there's a selection of books which your welcome to make use of during your stay.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all stainless steel major appliances and all of the utensils, cookware and flatware you'll need. All linens and towels are provided and on site laundry facilities are there should you need them. Ceiling fans are located throughout the villa for your comfort. |
